More experiments are needed to ensure the safety of transgenic foods, as they have some advantages. But we must consider the fact that they may have toxic substances that can kill harmless insects and that those transgenic plants can hybridize with other plants turning then harmful to the same insects is really scary. Greenpeace proposes that we spend five years studying transgenic foods and after that they could be cultivated. They say that we are going to be used like guinea pigs.
